The Activity Box Project
Activity boxes.
Shared moments.
Sometimes all it takes is a game, a puzzle, or a little creativity to bring people together. Our volunteers assemble recreation kits filled with engaging activities for older adults in our partner communities, making connection a little easier, one box at a time.
More than
something to do.
Each kit is prepared with community needs in mind. Contents may vary depending on our partner organizations.
The donation guide
What can you donate?
From a single puzzle book to a favorite tabletop game, there are plenty of ways to contribute. We collect adult-appropriate activities that help older adults think, create, and spend time together.
Large-print puzzles
& brain games.
Large-print word searches, crosswords, sudoku, word scrambles, logic puzzles, brain-game books, and other readable activity books.
Games & social
activities.
Standard or jumbo playing cards, UNO, Skip-Bo, Phase 10, dominoes, Rummikub, simple board games, and group-friendly favorites.
