We envision communities where aging does not mean being forgotten, and where young people grow up understanding the value of care, service, and human connection. Generations Together strives to build a future where generations support one another — not separately, but together.

Who we are

Generations Together is a youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting senior citizens through meaningful intergenerational connection. We work to reduce social isolation among elders while empowering young people to serve their communities with compassion, responsibility, and purpose.

By bringing generations together, we create spaces where seniors feel seen, valued, and supported — and where youth learn empathy, leadership, and the importance of community care.

Why we exist

Millions of senior citizens experience loneliness, limited mobility, and a lack of consistent social support. Many face barriers such as isolation, the digital divide, or the absence of nearby family.

At the same time, young people often want to help their communities but lack accessible, meaningful opportunities to do so. Generations Together exists to meet both needs — creating connection where it’s missing and purpose where it’s needed.

Our mission statement

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for senior citizens by fostering genuine intergenerational relationships and providing consistent community support. Through youth-driven service, we aim to combat loneliness, bridge generational gaps, and strengthen communities from the inside out.

  • Provide technology support and digital literacy assistance
    We assist seniors with everyday technology — such as smartphones, video calls, and online services — so they can stay connected and independent.

  • Conduct wellness check-ins
    Regular check-ins help ensure seniors feel remembered, supported, and cared for, especially those who may not have frequent contact with family or caregivers.

  • Organize community events and intergenerational outreach
    We host and support events that bring seniors and youth together in welcoming spaces, fostering joy, inclusion, and shared community.

  • Support seniors facing financial or material barriers
    When possible, we provide assistance through donations, essential supplies, and community-funded support to help seniors lacking access to basic resources. This may include groceries, hygiene items, or other necessities identified through community needs.

    We collaborate with senior centers, schools, families, and local groups to extend our reach and ensure seniors receive support beyond our direct programming.
